Third and Fourth school tour
The children from 3rd/4th class recently enjoyed a great tour in sunny Kinsale.
Firstly they visited Charles Fort where they learned lots about the history of Kinsale.
After a super tour they headed into Kinsale outdoors centre where 4th class went canoeing and kayaking in the Dock.
3rd class went rock climbing, zip lining and played archery. It was great to see some of the school's past pupils at the centre. Tessa Kingston, Eric Cotter and Simon Good were excellent instructors!
The children had a great day. Thanks to the guides in Charles Fort and the instructors in Kinsale!
Third class visit to RNLI, Kinsale
12th June: 3rd/4th class won the Green Flag competition for cleanest classroom.The prize was a class visit to the RNLI station in Kinsale. The students learned lots about saving lives at sea from the volunteers Kevin and Dermot.Afterwards the class went to Oysterhaven beach where Mrs Marron led a beach hunt for the students to find creatures and plants next to the sea!

Lifetime Lab visit
Third and Fourth class got to experience a Marine Explorers programme on the 22nd March in the Lifetime Lab. The students undertook experiments to see how air affects water, how boats work and got to observe some sea creatures in aquariums and even ones from long ago! We may have some marine biologists and sailors in our midst...stay tuned!
Ms.Murphy's Fourth class visited on 29th March where they learned about marine life and did water experiments, including how to design a boat that floats!

We had wonderful characters from lots of different books and green outfits in Third and Fourth class on the 16th March for St. Patrick's Day and World Book Day!

Third class indoor camogie
Well done to the girls in 3rd class who took part in a Camogie blitz recently.
They played superbly against teams from Kilbrittan, Balinspittle and Gaelscoil Chionn tSáile.
The future is bright for Scoil Mhuire na nGrást!
Sciath na Scol Fourth class indoor camogie
Well done to the girls in 4th class who played really well in the Sciath na Scol Indoor Camogie blitz in Bishopstown yesterday, Jan.31st.
They had a great win against Bunscoil CrÃost RÃ but were beaten by Ovens in the semifinals. Ovens emerged as the eventual winners!
The skills on show were immense and it will be great to see these girls progress in the next few years!
