Junior Infants love Aistear where they experience drama, construction, art and other activities.

Junior infants created penguins in December.

Road Safety

Infants learned how to keep safe on our roads.  They sang the Safe Cross Code song and the RSA gave them all hi-visability jackets to make sure they are seen when walking or cycling.

JI Reading and World Book Week

​Ms. O Neill's class has been working very hard to learn lots of new words. We were so excited to be able to read our Look Out Teddy books for the very first time. We love books and reading!

Winter Welly Walk

Junior Infants donned their wellies and went outside to look at the changes Winter brings to their local area!

 

Christmas play practice

Both Junior Infant classes worked hard to produce highly entertaining Christmas plays based on the nativity.  They enjoyed performing them in front of their parents!

Visit from Garda Dave

We were very lucky to meet Garda Dave when he came to visit our school recently. We learned about the work he does to keep us safe. We learned about his uniform and even got to sit into the Garda car. He gave us lovely Garda colouring sheets. 

JI Maths eyes

 During Maths Week we learnt all about Maths in the world around us such as shapes, patterns, and numbers. We made "Maths Eyes" which helped us find Maths all around our school. We love Maths!!!

Infants creating digital stories

Infants had fun creating with Book Creator app on the iPads!  Junior infants had some help from sixth class pupils.  All infant classes also learned how to use Beebots this year!

Senior Infant School tour

Senior infants had fantastic fun in the Glen Sports Centre for their school tour!  As you can see from the photos, they enjoyed a variety of activities.

Firefighter visit

Infants were very excited to see Firefighter McCarthy arrive in his fire engine.  He told them all about his work and they even tried out the hose!
