Sciath na Scol finals, Camogie 2023
Well done to the girls in Scoil Mhuire na nGrást on winning the DC2 Sciath na Scol Camogie finals after defeating Berrings NS 2-08 to 1-02 in front of a large crowd in Páirc Uí Chaoimh on March 24th.
The girls showed great teamwork and determination right through the League campaign and it culminated in a victory against a great Berrings side.
Evelyn Rath, Kayleigh Murphy, Jill McSweeney, Olivia Ziegert and Ciara Dumigan all got on the scoreboard and each score was met with rapturous applause. It was great to have so many supporters from the school and local community in the stands.
Ben Cunningham, Cork hurler, presented the Cup to captain Evelyn Rath and Vice captain Ciara Dumigan.
This great group of girls recently won the Carraigdhoun Sciath na Scol camogie blitz also so it has been a great year for this group of players! The future is bright for Sliabh Rua!
